Forty-eight outstanding ULM students have been selected for recognition in the 2004-2005 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
The recommendations for nominations to the Who's Who program came from academic deans and student organizations and were then compiled by Wayne Brumfield, vice president of student affairs.
A selection committee composed of faculty, staff and students then submitted a list of students recommended for Who's Who to President James Cofer for approval.
The selection committee and office of student affairs are impressed by these outstanding students.
"It is a high honor for ULM's top students to be nominated because nominations come from students, deans, faculty, and staff," said Mazie Williams, Administrative Assistant to Brumfield.
"Who's Who is an elite group of students who are recognized because of academics, leadership and community service," said Martha Upshaw, assistant dean of students and selection committee member. "These students have made a difference at ULM."
Students selected for the program must be full-time undergraduate students with at least 90 hours. They must have a minimum 2.5 G.P.A. with leadership roles in extracurricular activities. Students must also have exemplary character and the potential for future success.
